But of course, we should always strive for better things so, my to do/to buy list for the coming decade includes the following (no particular order):
a) Travel to Europe – I’m afraid this would have to be out of my own pocket. I was not fortunate to be assigned to a European market at the office so unlike many of my officemates, I never got to visit the queen for free.
b) Visit five more beaches in the country – Pagudpod, Caramoan, Camiguin, Laiya (yes, it’s just two hours away but I haven’t been there) and Davao?
c) Buy my first designer bag – this was supposed to be my gift to myself this year but since I resigned from my job, had to be more practical. I want a Balenciaga and Bottega Veneta after all and that would set me back by a hundred grand at least!
d) Buy a house and lot – one in the city, another by the beach
e) Publish some more, hopefully a novel? Hehe, hey this is my wishlist after all…
f) …and hopefully (again) win some awards along the way
g) Find the job that suits me best (I should have been an actress, or a model, not an accountant!!!)
h) Buy that turquoise ring and earring set I’ve been coveting for years (I did manage to buy a tourmaline ring/earring set as a birthday gift to myself this year)
i) start my own business – probably food or fashion-related
j) be more involved in charities and the Church
k) spend more time with my family – this is the main reason I quit my job at P&G. I’ve always said that what nourishes me, also destroys me. My job afforded a comfortable life but it drains me, and takes me away from what matters most and it’s ultimately not worth it AT ALL.
So, what’s on your list?
my list is on my blog. you have good lists, better than mine. haha. good luck to us!
